29th November 2011, Supercells, Bathurst - Parkes, NSW This day could have gone a lot worse. Conditions were quite potent for the formation of supercells across the Central West Slopes and Plains and Central Tablelands. So good was the potential that there were several crews of chasers out, however unlike the USA the chasers here were spread many hours apart. We started the day at Wellington. Nothing happened until 1.20pm when a weak cell developed overhead before dropping into unchasable country (no roads). Trailing this cell was risking as it took us away from the plains and onto the table lands.
