The storm started rather tame looking and very high based However that flat based was very dark and experience told me the small ripples along the base was a potential severe sign ( see larger picture) As the storm moved off the escarpment and tapped into coastal moisture it devleoped some rather nasty structure This is NOT a tornado, but none the less a sign of storm severity The storm quickly became an outflow party.
