Sutton Forest
Snow chasing is almost  unique to Australia storm chasers. This is because outside a small area in the far SE snow is uncommon. In my home town at 34' S on the coast it has never snowed in my lifetime and I am 53. However once out of every two or three years it snows above 600m (1200ft) on the mountains just west.  This day was very borderline, the isolated snow showers were associated with weak convective clouds, so there was potential for flakes to be brought down in the 2-3C air.  These flakes fell for about 10 minutes at Sutton Forest. The big wet flakes melted almost immediately upon touching ground.
