This handheld picture was taken just on sunset, this bolt is about 500m away into a lake. |
2nd February 2005 At last a low based storm with ample moisture, at one stage just before sunset it was very severe lightning wise, with many CG's with a few hundred metres.

These bolts are very close ( see larger picture ). At this stage I am sheltering under a picnic shed in a park. |
