SIGNIFICANT ILLAWARRA WEATHER EVENTS - AUTUMN 1999

14th April 1999 - SYDNEY HAILSTORM HAS IT'S GENESIS IN THE ILLAWARRA.
At approx 5.45pm parts of the Shellharbour area were hit by golfball size hail from the storm in the pictures above. This storm move N/NE and developed into a supercell that dumped baseball size hail onto eastern Sydney causing a $A Billion in damages. A full report of this storm can be read at here.
