Last update 9th August 1999

13th -14th July 1999 -Depression off New South Wales Coast causes very minor flooding in Illawarra. In what has been a very uneventful Autumn and Winter in the Illawarra a depression that formed off the SE Queensland border led to moderate rain in the Illawarra. Falls over the 48 hours were generally over 100mm on the escarpment. This led to very minor flooding of the Illawarra Hwy at Albion Park. Winds were strong, but just short of gale force, seas peaked at about 4m ( 12-15ft ).
